Abstract

Rapid digital transformation has increased the need for organizations to effectively manage human resources to sustain employee performance. This study examines the effect of transformational leadership and work environment in enhancing employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable within the context of digital transformation. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with data collected from 125 employees in Bandung, West Java. The findings reveal that transformational leadership and work environment have positive and significant effects on job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction also demonstrates a significant positive influence on employee performance and acts as a partial mediator in the relationships between transformational leadership and employee performance, as well as between work environment and employee performance. These results indicate that effective leadership and a supportive work environment not only directly improve performance but also indirectly enhance it through increased employee satisfaction. From a managerial perspective, the study highlights the importance of integrating human-centered leadership practices and conducive workplace conditions to strengthen organizational performance in the digital era.

Abstract

Culinary MSMEs play an important role in entrepreneurship and regional economic development in areas having diverse markets and tourism potentials. The development of culinary MSMEs in various regencies and cities in West Java is uneven, emphasizing the necessity of data-driven mapping in order to precisely determine the growth potential of the regions. This paper seeks to classify the growth potential of culinary MSMEs in West Java regencies and cities using K-Means Clustering based on open government data. The data used in this paper were taken from Open Data Jawa Barat and consist of the number of projected MSMEs by regency or city and business category for 2017-2023. There were six research steps carried out in this study: data selection, data preprocessing, data transformation, data normalization, clustering, and cluster result interpretation. It was found that there were 27 regencies and cities classified into three different clusters, namely 12 regions having high potential, 14 regions having moderate potential, and one region having low potential. It can be seen that there was relatively similar percentage growth in all regions, at 43.36%. This research implies that regions that have bigger MSME clusters should have strategies for competitiveness and expansion of their markets, whereas lower potential regions would benefit from having more basic entrepreneurship strategies. This paper demonstrates that using the K-Means Clustering approach and open government data can be a useful tool for making decisions.

Abstract

The growth of the internet service provider industry has intensified competition in partnership-based business, necessitating the use of more structured and organized business partnership strategies. Although previous studies have combined the Business Model Canvas (BMC), SWOT analysis, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), only a few have applied the concept of an internet service provider partnership business. This study aims to design a partnership business model for an internet service provider company by integrating the BMC, SWOT, and AHP methods. The mixed method that will be used in the study involves interviewing, observation, company documentations, and comparison questionnaires. The role of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) is to aid in analysis of the current business model, SWOT will be utilized in order to create strategic alternatives, and AHP will be used to rank the alternatives. From the research, the two main areas which need attention are increasing the ISP Network by developing new marketing/community partnerships (SO1), and enhancing the service improvement using integrated digital services (SO2). The two areas will be developed further into a Business Model Canvas. In this research, a framework of decision making that integrates BMC, SWOT analysis, and AHP is suggested to effectively transform the organization’s strategy into a BMC for ISPs. This framework could be used theoretically as a reference for integrating the strategy and business modelling and practically for designing the collaborative business model
