Abstract

Kata Kunci : Senam Hamil, Proses Persalinan Every day in 2023, more than 700 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Maternal deaths occur almost every 2 minutes in 2023. Regular prenatal exercise can guide pregnant women toward physiological childbirth as long as there are no pathological conditions accompanying the pregnancy. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of prenatal exercise on the smoothness of the childbirth process at the Panipahan Health Center in Rokan Hilir District. The study design is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research period was from September 2024 to August 2025. The population consists of all primigravida pregnant women, totaling 34 individuals, with a sample of 17 individuals in the control group and 17 individuals in the experimental group. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate methods. The univariate results show that the average smoothness of the childbirth process for mothers in the control group or the group of mothers who do not regularly perform prenatal exercises is not smooth, with an average duration of the second stage of labor of 124.12 minutes. The average smoothness of the labor process in the experimental group, or the group of mothers who regularly performed prenatal exercises, was smooth, with an average duration of the second stage of labor of 77.65 minutes. The results of the parametric test using the Independent T-test yielded a P-value = 0.000 < 0.05, so the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, meaning that prenatal exercise has an effect on the smoothness of the labor in process Panipahan Community Health Center, Rokan Hilir Regency. It is hoped that research sites will always inform and encourage pregnant women to regularly participate in pregnancy exercises as a measure to ensure that mothers experience a smooth delivery process. Kata Kunci: Kelas Ibu Hamil, Kesiapan, Persalinan ABSTRACT The maternal mortality rate is an indicator of public health. The causes of maternal death are related to direct and indirect factors. Direct causes of maternal death include hypertension during pregnancy, hemorrhage, and other obstetric complications, while indirect causes include many cases of late recognition of labor risks and decision-making, leading to late referral and treatment. One effort to prepare mothers for childbirth is through a government program of pregnant women's classes on maternal readiness for childbirth at the Sungai Pagar Community Health Center, Kampar Kiri Hilir District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental pre- and post-test design. The research period was from September 2024 to June 2025. The population of all primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester who visited the Sungai Pagar Community Health Center amounted to 37 people with a sample of 18 people. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate. The univariate results obtained an average knowledge of mothers before attending the pregnancy class was 41.44 and an average after 45.67. The results of the parametric test with a paired sample test obtained a P value <α, namely 0.000 <0.05, then Ho was rejected Ha was accepted, meaning there was an effectiveness of the pregnancy class on the readiness of mothers to face childbirth in the work area of the Sungai Pagar Community Health Center UPT, Kampar Regency.
