Abstract

Construction activities require concrete as a widely used material. Concrete consists of several compositions, namely fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water, and Portland cement as the main material for the binder. Cement production contributes around 6% of carbon emissions which can damage the environment, including global warming, and the use of high levels of cement material in concrete mixtures, so alternative materials are needed to replace cement or cement additives for concrete mixes. Alternative materials used in this research are fly ash and silica fume. This research aims to determine the test results and characteristics of concrete using silica fume and fly ash as partial cement substitute materials as well as the effect of the ratio of silica fume and fly ash on the compressive strength of concrete. The research was carried out by direct testing in the laboratory. The various mixtures of Fly Ash (FA) and Silica Fume used are: FA 10% and SF 5%, FA 15% and SF 5%, FA 20% and SF 20%, FA 25% and SF 10%. Based on the results of compressive strength tests carried out at 28 days of concrete, it shows that the use of silica fume and fly ash to replace cement cannot be said to have succeeded in increasing the strength of the concrete. The highest compressive strength value was achieved by variation 3, namely with a fly ash content of 20% and 10% silica fume, producing a compressive strength value of 19.44 Mpa, this shows that the strength achieved is still limited to low quality concrete below 20 Mpa.

Abstract

Electric cars have significant potential to be implemented in Palembang city, which is committed towards smart city with a focus on ‘smart mobility.’ This study explores the characteristics of electric car users and their operational cost efficiency compared to petrol vehicles. Using a quantitative method with a questionnaire, data was collected from 104 respondents and showed that the majority of electric car users are men aged 20-30 years old with an income of 5-10 million. The results of the analysis show that the operating costs of electric vehicles are more economical compared to conventional vehicles. However, there are challenges such as limited charging infrastructure and higher electric car prices. Through SWOT analysis with the IFAS EFAS method, this study was identified as being in quadrant 2 with a tendency towards weakness where the application requires selective maintenance, meaning that the application of electric cars requires action to improve and enhance several aspects, aspects that need to be improved by recommending actions such as reducing the price of electric cars, providing more charging stations, and increasing public awareness about the use of environmentally friendly electric cars so as to encourage wider adoption in Palembang.

Abstract

Mortar is a building material of sand, cement, and water that is stirred until homogeneous. So that a light mortar can be obtained, this can be done by mixing the mortar with a foaming agent. Adding polyethylene fiber increases the compressive strength, tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, and brittleness of lightweight mortar. The percentage of added fiber is 0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%. The average density of lightweight mortar added with polyethylene fiber is 895.316 kg/m3. The optimal compressive strength with a fiber ratio of 0.5% polyethylene fiber is 3461.429 kPa, an increase of 172.906% compared to 0% polyethylene fiber. The optimal tensile strength of 0.5% polyethylene fiber is 1218.384 kPa, an increase of 364.917% compared to 0% polyethylene fiber. Based on the results of foam mortar experiments using a foam agent with polyethylene fiber, this is classified as type O mortar, not recommended for interior and exterior walls that do not support structural loads.

Abstract

Mushola Az-Zubair didesain memiliki luas 6 x 6 m2, dengan biaya pembangunan sebesar Rp.387.210.000,- (Tiga ratus delapan tujuh puluh juta dua ratus sepuluh ribu rupiah ). Harga tersebut sudah termasuk upah dan material.
