Abstract

ABSTRAK Transformasi digital pada industri fashion mendorong sekolah vokasi untuk menyiapkan peserta didik yang mampu menguasai teknologi desain berbasis komputer. Pada kompetensi keahlian Tata Busana, kemampuan membuat pola secara digital menjadi keterampilan penting karena proses produksi busana modern semakin banyak menggunakan perangkat lunak Computer Aided Design (CAD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menggambar pola busana digital menggunakan software Richpeace berbasis CAD di SMK Negeri 1 Stabat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Peserta penelitian berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri atas 25 siswa dan 5 guru Tata Busana. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui pengenalan konsep CAD, demonstrasi penggunaan Richpeace, praktik pembuatan pola digital, editing pola, grading, pendampingan, serta evaluasi hasil belajar. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai peserta meningkat dari 58,63 pada pre-test menjadi 87,47 pada post-test. Hasil uji paired sample t-test memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kemampuan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan Richpeace berbasis CAD dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam menggambar pola busana digital secara lebih terarah, presisi, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri fashion. Pelatihan ini juga dapat menjadi alternatif penguatan pembelajaran Tata Busana berbasis teknologi digital di SMK. Kata Kunci: Pola Digital Busana, Richpeace, Computer Aided Design, Menggambar Pola, Pendidikan Vokasi.  ABSTRACT Digital transformation in the fashion industry requires vocational schools to prepare students with computer-based design competencies. In fashion design education, digital pattern-making has become an essential skill because modern garment production increasingly relies on Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of participants’ ability to create digital fashion patterns using CAD-based Richpeace software at SMK Negeri 1 Stabat. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was applied. The participants consisted of 30 individuals, including 25 fashion design students and 5 teachers. The training activities included an introduction to CAD concepts, demonstrations of Richpeace features, hands-on practice in digital pattern-making, pattern editing, grading, mentoring, and learning evaluation. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the participants’ average score increased from 58.63 in the pre-test to 87.47 in the post-test. The paired sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 0.05, indicating a significant difference in participants’ abilities before and after the training. These findings confirm that CAD-based Richpeace can improve participants’ ability to create digital fashion patterns in a more structured, accurate, and industry-oriented manner. This training can also serve as an alternative strategy for strengthening technology-based fashion design learning in vocational schools. Keywords: Digital Fashion Pattern, Richpeace, Computer Aided Design, Pattern Drawing, Vocational Education.

Abstract

The demands of the workplace increasingly require human resources proficient in digital technology, including in the fashion industry. This situation aligns with the goals of vocational high schools (SMK) vocational education, which is oriented towards preparing competent, work-ready graduates according to industry needs. The purpose of this research is to improve the effectiveness of digital pattern learning that aligns with industry needs and enhance student skills through the development of innovative learning media that support teachers and students in achieving digitalization competency in digital pattern-based Virtual Fitting.The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the Four-D development model. The research subjects were 11th-grade Fashion Design students at Citra Harapan Private Vocational High School. The stages included the define stage to identify learning needs, the design stage to design digital learning media appropriate to the curriculum and student characteristics, the develop stage to develop digital-based learning media, and the disseminate stage to conduct limited trials and refinements based on feedback.The results of the development research were as follows: the analysis of student needs revealed that 54.8% needed digital pattern-based Virtual Fitting learning materials, with a rating of 0.88 for the material and 0.87 for the material's suitability. Based on the responses of lecturers, teachers, and students, the Virtual Fitting teaching material based on digital patterns was declared very practical. The Virtual Fitting teaching material based on digital patterns was declared effective in improving students' pattern-making skills by 15.7%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning using the Virtual Fitting teaching material based on digital patterns is significantly effective in improving students' higher-order thinking skills and learning outcomes in pattern-making.
