The potential of palm oil commodities plays a significant role in economic growth in Bangka Belitung and is a key driver of current economic growth. One factor in successful palm oil harvesting is the use of appropriate harvesting equipment, from fruit picking to transportation to the processing plant. Harvested fruit is typically transported from trees to the processing plant using commonly sold pushcarts (angkong). Once collected, it is then transported using a motorcycle with a basket capable of carrying only approximately 150 kg. The poor condition of the infrastructure of oil palm plantations, slippery, potholed and muddy roads, causes the harvest to fail to be transported, so that the harvested fruit rots, and fails to be sold, causing farmers to suffer losses. To overcome this problem, one of them is the need for a simple oil palm transport vehicle powered by a combustion engine, with a capacity greater than a wheelbarrow (angkong) or two-wheeled vehicle that uses a transport basket, capable of passing through slippery, potholed and muddy plantation conditions, so that the harvest can be transported, can optimize the work of farmers, reduce the frequency of transportation so that it can be time efficient. Designed simply, utilizing locally available spare parts, thus facilitating handling, use and maintenance in the field. The transport vehicle made in this study uses a maximum capacity of 300 Kilograms that uses a manual pulley system for unloading, using mini tractor wheels, a 4X4 drive system that functions full time (full time Active), aiming to be able to face the conditions of the muddy, slippery and potholed plantation location.
