Understanding the Hadith in a partial, incomplete manner has the potential to lead to misunderstandings. This approach, not only leads to errors in understanding the text, but also to a model of understanding that ignores the context of the Hadith, both macro and micro, can be detrimental to all parties involved. Islamic law, which upholds justice and good treatment between men and women, will lose its face in the eyes of the world. Therefore, this article aims to uncover the meaning of the text through the macro-historical context of the emergence of the Hadith (Asbab al-Wurud) and micro-historical contexts (the immediate context of the Hadith or the Prophet's interactions recorded in the narrations). This research is a qualitative study based on literature research with a contextual-historical approach. The analysis was conducted using a descriptive-analytical approach to understand the context in which the Hadith emerged and its contextualization in the present. The results of this study indicate that the Hadith "Naqisatu ‘Aql Wa Din" is not a hadith that can be used as evidence to justify the view that husbands or men have a higher position than women in marital relations. Misunderstanding the meaning and intent of the Hadith is the source of the problem. The hadith was not read in its entirety and even appeared to be partially copied for personal gain. However, after reading the hadith in its entirety, including considering its context and its interrelationship with the concept of qiwamah (religious conduct) in Surah an-Nisa': 34, it becomes clear that neither party intended to demean women.
