Abstract

Riverfront areas in the Pontianak City Spatial Plan (RTRW) 2013–2033 are designated as strategic areas that play important roles in economic, socio-cultural, natural resource utilization, high technology development, and environmental carrying capacity aspects. As part of the riverfront development program, the Government of Pontianak City has implemented waterfront revitalization projects, one of which is the development of the Teras Parit Nanas Area located in Siantan Hulu Village, North Pontianak District. However, the number of tourist visits to this area remains relatively low, which is presumed to be influenced by the suboptimal quality of tourism attraction components, particularly attractions and amenities. This study aims to formulate development aspects of the Teras Parit Nanas Area as a tourist attraction. The research employed a mixed-method approach using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. A total of 100 respondents participated in the study, consisting of 50 visitors from outside the Teras Parit Nanas area and 50 local residents living around the area. Data analysis was conducted using the Likert scoring method and the Sturges method. The results indicate that, in terms of tourist attractions, most respondents considered Teras Parit Nanas to possess good visual appeal and to be sufficiently attractive as a tourism destination. Regarding accessibility, road conditions leading to the site and the ease of reaching the location by vehicle were perceived positively by respondents. Nevertheless, several aspects of amenities and visitor comfort were considered inadequate, particularly public lighting facilities, public toilets, information boards, riverbank safety barriers, and overall cleanliness of the area. Therefore, the development strategy should focus on improving amenities and safety facilities, enhancing waste management practices, and developing supporting tourism attractions such as canoe tourism, reading facilities, and additional waterfront-based recreational activities to increase the attractiveness of the Teras Parit Nanas Area as a tourism destination.

Abstract

Supadio Air Force Base Park (Taman Lanud Dirgantara Supadio) is a public open space in Kubu Raya Regency that has evolved into a hub for social, recreational, athletic, cultural, and economic activities. The rising number of visitors necessitates the provision of facilities and spatial quality that meet user needs, including parking, cleanliness, security, sanitation, and accessibility. This study aims to analyze user satisfaction levels regarding the quality of the public open space at Supadio Air Force Base Park. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey method involving the distribution of questionnaires to park users. The analysis sought to identify user perceptions of the public open space's quality and to measure satisfaction levels based on the gap between perceived conditions and user expectations. The findings are intended to serve as a basis for evaluation by the park management and the Kubu Raya Regency Government to enhance the quality of facilities and the management of the public open space, making it more comfortable, safe, and sustainable.
