Abstract

Abstrak: Bank Sampah Sido Resik di Kabupaten Magelang menghadapi keterbatasan penerangan pada sore dan malam hari serta ketergantungan penuh pada listrik konvensional, sementara pemahaman pengelola dan relawan mengenai energi terbarukan masih terbatas. Pengabdian ini bertujuan menerapkan sistem penerangan tenaga surya serta memberikan edukasi penggunaan lampu hemat energi guna meningkatkan keterampilan teknis (hard skill) dan kesadaran (soft skill) mitra terhadap efisiensi energi. Kegiatan menggunakan metode campuran, yaitu penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang dipadukan dengan sosialisasi dan edukasi partisipatif kepada pengelola dan sekitar 14 relawan bank sampah. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi dan tanya jawab lisan, dengan indikator keberhasilan berupa berfungsinya sistem dan meningkatnya pemahaman mitra. Hasil kegiatan berupa terpasangnya empat unit Penerangan Jalan Umum Tenaga Surya dan lima titik lampu LED hemat energi. Pengujian menunjukkan energi baterai 106–122 Wh dengan waktu pengisian penuh 1,2–1,9 hari. Edukasi menunjukkan penggantian lampu 15 watt dengan LED 10 watt menghemat sekitar Rp30.660 per titik per tahun, sekaligus meningkatkan pemahaman mitra terhadap energi terbarukan.Abstract: Sido Resik Waste Bank in Magelang Regency faces limited afternoon and evening lighting and full dependence on conventional electricity, while managers and volunteers have limited understanding of renewable energy. This community service aimed to implement a solar-powered lighting system and provide education on energy-saving lamps to improve the partners' technical skills (hardskill) and awareness (softskill) of energy efficiency. The activity used a mixed method combining appropriate-technology application with participatory socialization and education for the managers and about 14 volunteers. Evaluation was conducted qualitatively through observation and oral questioning, with success indicators being a functioning system and improved partner understanding. The activity produced four solar-powered public street lighting units and five energy-saving LED lamp points. Testing showed a battery energy of 106–122 Wh with a full charging time of 1.2–1.9 days. Replacing a 15-watt lamp with a 10-watt LED saves about IDR 30,660 per point annually, while improving partner understanding of renewable energy.
