<![CDATA[The Indonesian language skills of elementary school students need to be improved through the habituation of literacy culture in the school environment. However, technological developments and students’ low reading interest have become challenges in implementing literacy activities. This study aims to analyze the role of school literacy culture in improving Indonesian language skills among elementary school students. The research method used was a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach and a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design. The study process employed the PRISMA method through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Data were collected from Google Scholar and Garuda databases with publication years ranging from 2016 to 2026. The search results identified 40 articles, and after the selection process, 10 relevant articles were analyzed. The findings showed that school literacy culture has a positive influence on students’ Indonesian language skills, especially in reading, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension abilities. Programs such as 15-minute reading activities before lessons, reading corners, storytelling, and the School Literacy Movement (GLS) were proven to improve students’ reading interest, learning outcomes, and critical thinking skills. The success of literacy culture is influenced by the support of schools, teachers, and parents. Therefore, literacy culture needs to be implemented consistently and innovatively so that students’ Indonesian language skills can develop optimally.]]>
