Abstract

This study aims to develop digital snakes and ladders media in mathematics subjects, especially contextual-based multiplication material, in order to improve student learning outcomes. Through the ADDIE development model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, this media is expected to provide an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The subjects of the study consisted of second-grade students at SDS Muhammadiyah 10 Medan. The formulation of the problems raised in this study include the validity of the media, the practicality of using the media by teachers and students, and the effectiveness of the media in improving student learning outcomes. The results showed that the digital snakes and ladders media developed met the validation criteria with a score of 95% from media experts and 94.6% from material experts. In addition, this media was declared very practical with a percentage of 92.5% from teacher responses and 98% from student responses. The increase in student learning outcomes was also significant, with an average posttest score reaching 95, compared to the pretest score of only 62.22, so that the N-Gain obtained was in the high category (0.87). This study concludes that the development of digital snakes and ladders media can be an effective solution in improving students' understanding of multiplication concepts, and can be used as an innovation in the mathematics learning process
