Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of multicultural education as a foundation for developing tolerant, democratic students capable of living in a pluralistic society. The attached paper emphasizes that the integration of multicultural values ​​cannot be achieved simply through additional material; it must be holistically embedded in the curriculum, learning methods, and school culture. The discussion also demonstrates that Islamic education plays a strategic role in instilling the values ​​of justice, equality, compassion, and brotherhood as a response to intolerance, exclusivism, and the negative influences of globalization. The discussion confirms that multicultural education is not only a pedagogical instrument but also a means of social transformation to strengthen national identity, prevent conflict, and build an inclusive learning environment.
