<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the existence of several obstacles in science learning in grade V at SD Negeri 58 Pekanbaru, such as learning activities that were still dominated by lecture methods, lack of variation in learning methods, limited innovative learning media, and learning that had not been optimally student-centered. In addition, teachers also experienced difficulties in implementing the results of training into the learning process due to limited school facilities and infrastructure. This study aimed to analyze the professionalism of fifth-grade teachers in science subjects at SD Negeri 58 Pekanbaru. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consisted of teachers, principals, and students. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the professionalism of fifth-grade teachers in science subjects at SD Negeri 58 Pekanbaru had appeared to be implemented. This was reflected in the teachers’ ability to master learning materials, apply pedagogical and methodological skills, demonstrate professional work ethics, design learning programs, and adapt to curriculum changes. However, there were still obstacles such as limited variation in learning methods, limited innovative learning media, and learning activities that were not yet fully student-centered.]]>
