Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has transformed the management and service model of school libraries. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital transformation in school libraries, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine its contribution to improving student information access and information literacy. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving school librarians, library heads, teachers, and students. The results indicate that digital transformation in school libraries is implemented through the adoption of digital collections, electronic library management systems, and technology-based library services. Supporting factors include institutional leadership support, availability of digital infrastructure, and librarian competency development. Inhibiting factors include limited budget, inadequate internet access, and low digital literacy among some students. Digital transformation significantly contributes to expanding student information access and strengthening information literacy skills, as evidenced by increased library visits, usage of digital collections, and improved student ability to evaluate information sources critically.
