Abstract

This study aims to improve the numeracy skills of children aged 4-5 years through wordwall media. Based on the results of initial observations conducted by researchers at the Al-Ikhlas 1 Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Kepahiang, it is known that children's numeracy skills are still not optimal. Of the 15 children observed, most of the children still have difficulty in counting. Several factors that influence the low numeracy skills in early childhood include the lack of learning media and less interesting learning methods, which make children less enthusiastic in learning. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) type with the McTaggart cycle model which consists of four stages, including the planning stage, the implementation stage, the action stage, and the reflection stage. From the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that the use of wordwall media is effective in improving numeracy skills in class A children aged 4-5 years at the Al-Ikhlas 1 Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Bengkulu. Through wordwall as a learning medium that can help children learn to count. Learning using wordwall media also helps children be enthusiastic in learning activities. For more optimal results, it is hoped that teachers will be able to organize more interesting and varied learning activities.
