Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of creativity among students with intellectual disabilities through music extracurricular activities at SLB PGRI Cisaat, Sukabumi Regency. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of students with intellectual disabilities, teachers, and school personnel involved in the program. The findings indicate that music extracurricular activities contribute positively to the development of creativity, self-confidence, motor skills, concentration, and social interaction. Through demonstration and repetitive practice methods, students were able to recognize rhythms, play simple musical instruments, and express themselves more confidently. The success of the program was supported by school facilities, teacher competence, and students’ enthusiasm. Therefore, music extracurricular activities can be used as an effective strategy to support creativity development among students with intellectual disabilities.
