Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of balanced nutrition and the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) on the development of language skills in elementary school children. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing journals related to balanced nutrition, learning motivation, cognitive development, learning concentration, and elementary school children's abilities. The results of the review show that balanced nutritional intake has a positive effect on children's health, brain function, concentration, and thinking skills. Children who receive proper nutrition tend to be more active, focused, and able to understand lessons more easily in the classroom. These conditions support the development of language skills such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, and understanding learning materials. The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) also helps improve students' learning motivation and readiness to participate in the learning process. Based on the findings from the reviewed journals, it can be concluded that balanced nutrition and the MBG program play an important role in supporting the optimal development of language skills in elementary school children.
