Abstract

Muh. Nur Alyullah, 2026. The Development of a Multimodal-Based Quiet Book as a Learning Medium for Plane Geometry for Fourth Grade Elementary School Students. Undergraduate Thesis. Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Makassar. (Supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Syawaluddin, S.Kom., M.Pd., IPM., ASEAN., Eng and Siti Raihan, S.Pd., M.Pd) This study aims to develop a multimodal-based Quiet Book as a learning medium for plane geometry to improve the numeracy skills of sixth-grade elementary school students and to determine the feasibility of the developed media. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were sixth-grade students of SD Inpres Parangrea. The product developed is a multimodal-based Quiet Book that integrates visual, kinesthetic, and digital elements through the use of QR Codes, which provide access to learning videos and interactive quizzes. Data collection techniques include validation questionnaires from material experts and media experts, as well as response questionnaires from teachers and students. The results indicate that the developed multimodal-based Quiet Book meets the feasibility criteria based on expert validation and user responses. The media is considered suitable as a learning tool because it can increase students’ learning interest, facilitate understanding of plane geometry concepts, and provide an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. Therefore, the multimodal-based Quiet Book can be used as an alternative learning medium to improve elementary school students’ numeracy skills.
