Abstract

Blood transfusions, blood donations, and handling various blood type tests play a very important role in the health field, including in cases of ABO system and Rhesus factor incompatibility. The purpose of this study is to identify variations in students' blood types based on the ABO system and Rhesus factor. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with an observational approach. The population in this study is active 6th-semester students in the Elementary School Teacher Education program, with a sample taken through random sampling, namely 6th-semester students in Class C, totaling 27 people. The results of the study show that based on the ABO system, blood type O is the most dominant, with 13 people (48.15%), blood type A with 6 people (22.22%), blood type B with 5 people (16.52%), and blood type AB with 3 people (11.11%). Based on the Rhesus factor, most students have a positive Rhesus (Rh+) with 25 people (92.59%), while 2 people (7.41%) have a negative Rhesus (Rh-). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a variation in blood groups based on the ABO system and Rhesus factor among students, with blood type O and positive Rhesus (Rh+) being the most common. This data can be used as supporting information for blood donation activities and health services on campus.
