Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of equestrian sports tourism at Sidomulyo Stable Nature Tourism. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews with owners, managers, and tourists, as well as documentation studies as secondary data. The data was analyzed using SWOT analysis. Based on the collected data, although Sidomulyo Stable has had a positive economic and social impact through its unique horse riding tourism concept, and has not caused significant environmental impact thanks to good horse manure management, potential threats to the preservation of protected forests remain prominent if future development does not prioritize the principles of green design. In addition, managers also face operational challenges in the form of horse maintenance costs and professional trainers, while tourists want improved supporting facilities and better safety guidelines, and the community hopes to be more involved in development and training. In conclusion, Sidomulyo Stable Nature Tourism has great potential, provided that there are updates to the attractions.

Abstract

The suboptimal physical fitness of elementary school students indicates the need for more engaging physical education strategies. Traditional games can serve as alternative learning activities that enhance both physical activity and students’ learning interest. This study aims to examine the effects of traditional games (Bentengan and Boy-boyan) and learning interest on students’ physical fitness, as well as their interaction. A 2×2 factorial experimental design was employed with 20 students selected using upper and lower 27% grouping. Physical fitness was measured using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI), while learning interest was assessed through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results show that both the type of traditional game (F = 15.207; p = 0.001) and learning interest (F = 7.759; p = 0.013) have significant effects on physical fitness, with a significant interaction effect (F = 18.241; p = 0.001). Bentengan proved more effective than Boy-boyan in improving students’ physical fitness.

Abstract

Basketball requires athletes to possess good physical conditioning, particularly aerobic and anaerobic endurance, to support high-intensity and repeated activities during a game. Therefore, assessing athletes’ physical condition is essential to evaluate their capabilities and to design appropriate training programs. This study aimed to determine the aerobic and anaerobic endurance profiles of male basketball athletes at Paradice Basketball Academy Surau Gading in 2025. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a survey method through testing and measurement. The research subjects consisted of 10 athletes who completed all testing procedures. Anaerobic endurance was measured using the Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST), while aerobic endurance was assessed using the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) to estimate VO₂max values. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, minimum, maximum, and standard deviation. The results showed that 70% of the athletes were classified in the good category for anaerobic endurance (mean fatigue index = 7.42; SD = 3.94; min = 0.83; max = 12.33), while 50% of the athletes were categorized as moderate for aerobic endurance (mean VO₂max = 42.65; SD = 5.93; min = 33.2; max = 50.8). These findings indicate that although the athletes demonstrate relatively good anaerobic capacity, their aerobic endurance still needs improvement through a balanced training program.

Abstract

VO₂Max is an important indicator of cardiorespiratory fitness that plays a significant role in supporting performance in football. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a survey design. The population of this study consisted of all grade VIII students who participated in the football extracurricular activity at MTs Bahrul Ulum, totaling 20 students. The sampling technique used was total sampling, meaning that all members of the population were included as research participants. The instrument used to measure VO₂Max was the Multi-Stage Fitness Test (MFT), also known as the Beep Test. The test results were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency distribution. The results showed that the VO₂Max ability of students participating in the football extracurricular activity at MTs Bahrul Ulum was generally at a low level. The lowest recorded VO₂Max value was 24.00 and the highest was 42.90. The average (mean) value was 31.87 with a standard deviation of 5.74. Based on the frequency distribution, the majority of students were categorized as Poor and Fair. Specifically, 50% of students (10 individuals) were in the Poor category and 30% of students (6 individuals) were in the Fair category. The study concluded that the VO₂Max capacity of MTs Bahrul Ulum football extracurricular students is at a low level, indicating that their cardiorespiratory fitness still needs improvement to achieve optimal performance and long-term health benefits. Therefore, it is recommended that more structured and specific training programs be implemented to improve VO₂Max.
