FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabayaemail: aristianapr@yahoo.co.id?ABSTRAKSebaran data yang ada para responden yang memiliki tingkat kepedulian adalah mereka yang rata-rata menonton televisi per harinya kurang dari satu jam. Dan sinetron dengan waktu penayangannya yang pagi,siang, sore, hingga malam di berbagai televisi swasta sangat memungkinkan responden menonton televisi lebih dari satu jam. Namun begitu, berdasarkan uji kendall?s tau ternyata tidak ada hubungan antara lama menonton televisi dengan tingkat kepedulian ibu dalam mendidik anak menonton televisi. Sementara, acara yang sering ditonton ibu dan tingkat kepedulian ibu dalam mendidik anak menonton televisi ditemukan memiliki hubungan, melalui uji Kendall dengan nilai p value < ?=0.05.Jika menganalisa kategori dalam tabel kontingensi ditemukan, bila acara berita dan acara/program anak adalah tayangan yang sering ditonton responden , maka para ibu (responden) cenderung peduli untuk mendidik anak terkait tayangan televisi. Hasil ini menjelaskan bahwa bahwa acara berita atau program anak yang lebih menekankan sisi informasi (edukasi) memberikan pengaruh pada kepedulian responden.?Kata kunci :? ibu rumah tangga, televisi, program acara?ABSTRACTThe distribution of the existing data of the respondents which have high levels of concern are those that are on average watching television per day is less than an hour.
