Abstract

Fine motor skills are an important aspect of early childhood development that needs to be stimulated from an early age through engaging and enjoyable learning activities. However, children still experience difficulties in coordinating movement, hands, and eyes due to a lack of optimal fine motor stimulation. One activity that can be used to develop children's fine motor skills is stringing. This study aims to determine the effect of stringing on fine motor development in early childhood and to understand the process of fine motor stimulation through educational play activities. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. The subjects consisted of early childhood teachers. The results showed that stringing has a positive effect on the development of fine motor skills in early childhood. Children become more skilled in coordinating eye and hand movements, improving accuracy, concentration, and the ability to use small muscles in the hands. In addition, stringing also creates a fun learning atmosphere so that children are more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning. This study shows that stringing is an effective learning method for stimulating fine motor development in early childhood. This research is expected to serve as a reference for early childhood teachers in creative and innovative learning.
