Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the perceived value dimension on revisit intention through customer satisfaction and destination love of Dufan Ancol tourists. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 140 tourists who have visited Dufan Ancol. Cross-sectional methods are used in data collection. The research instrument has been declared to have passed the validity and reliability test. The data analysis technique used is structural equation modeling based on Smart PLS 3.0. The results of the study show that functional value has a positive effect on revisit intention through customer satisfaction. The findings of this study are expected to help Dufan Ancol managers in prioritizing increasing functional value to increase customer satisfaction so as to encourage revisit intention. Researchers are then advised to test other variables relevant to the characteristics of the research object to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that can influence revisit intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of hedonism, meaningfulness, aesthetics, and safety on revisit intention, with visitor engagement as a mediating variable, among tourists at The Lodge Maribaya. A total of 108 visitors at The Lodge Maribaya participated in the quantitative survey that formed the basis of this study. The author used partial least squares (PLS) modeling based on Smart PLS 3.0 to analyze the data collected from the questionnaire. The findings show that although the safety factor does not play a mediating role in revisit intention, the factors of hedonism, meaningfulness, and aesthetics all play a mediating role through visitor engagement. The results of this study are expected to provide input for the management of The Lodge Maribaya to prioritize strengthening the aspect of hedonism, followed by aesthetics, and then meaningfulness, in order to increase tourists’ revisit intention through visitor engagement. Further research is needed to develop a study model that includes additional variables more relevant to the context of adventure and nature tourism. This will help the author gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing revisit intention, as the study’s findings suggest that factors not included in the model may influence revisit intention.

Abstract

Through visitor satisfaction, this study seeks to determine how educational, esthetic, tour guide, and authenticity elements affect visitors' intentions to return to the Bandung Geological Museum. In order to explain how educational tourism experiences affect tourist satisfaction and, consequently, encourage the intention to return, this study is grounded in expectation confirmation theory. 121 visitors to the Bandung Geological Museum participated in this study, which used a quantitative survey method. A questionnaire was used to gather the data, and partial least squares structural equation modeling was used for analysis. The findings show that the effects of educational, esthetic, and authenticity elements on the intention to return are mediated by visitor satisfaction. These results should help the Bandung Geological Museum's administration prioritize improving authenticity, esthetic appeal, and educational value in order to increase visitor satisfaction, which in turn affects the intention to return. The results of this study show that revisit intention in the context of educational tourism cannot yet be fully explained by the research model. In order to obtain a more thorough understanding of the factors influencing revisit intention, future researchers may expand the research model by adding additional pertinent variables consistent with the features of educational tourism and testing the model's consistency across various destination contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cultural perception, social perception, social trust, and social safety on altruistic behavior through resident commitment and life satisfaction in the residents of the city of Bandung. This research is based on social exchange theory and subjective well-being theory to explain how citizens' perception of the social and cultural environment affects altruistic behavior. The study used a survey method with a quantitative approach involving 148 residents of the city of Bandung. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results showed that resident commitment was proven to mediate the influence of cultural perception, social perception, and social safety on altruistic behavior, while life satisfaction mediated the influence of social safety on altruistic behavior. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a conceptual model based on social exchange theory through the replacement of the dimensions of economic perception, environmental perception, and infrastructure perception with social trust and social safety, as well as the addition of life satisfaction as a mediating variable adopted from subjective well-being theory. The results of this research are expected to be an input for the Bandung City government to prioritize improving social safety, followed by cultural perception, then social perception to increase altruistic behavior of Bandung City residents. The findings of this study provide an opportunity to develop a conceptual model through testing variables and other theoretical perspectives to test factors that can increase altruistic behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of novelty, meaningfulness, natural landscape, and natural soundscape on the revisit intention of Ciletuh Geopark tourists through eudaimonic satisfaction and destination engagement using the stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) framework. The study used a survey method with a quantitative approach involving 160 tourist respondents who had visited the Ciletuh Geopark. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 3.0. Of the eighteen hypotheses proposed, nine hypotheses were supported by empirical data. The results showed that eudaimonic satisfaction mediated the influence of meanigfulness on revisit intention, while destination engagament mediated the influence of meaningfulness and natural soundscae on revisit intention. The results of this research are expected to be an input for the manager of the Ciletuh Geopark to prioritize increasing meaninfulness, followed by natural soundscape, in order to increase revisit intention through eudaimonic satisfaction and destination engagement. The findings of this study provide a basis for the development of a conceptual model through testing other variables that are relevant in increasing tourist revisit intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of educational, aesthetic, escapist, tour guide performance, and scentscape on revisit intention through emotional engagement in tourists of the Bandung City Geological Museum. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 146 respondents. Data analysis using structural equation modeling with the help of SmartPLS version 3.0. The results of the study show that educational, aesthetic, and escapist have a positive effect on revisit intention through emotional engagement. This finding is expected to help the management of the Geological Museum in prioritizing the development of programs that are able to create escapists, followed by strengthening educational and aesthetic aspects, in order to increase tourist revisit intention. Further research is suggested to develop this study using theoretical foundations and other mediating variables to explain the psychological mechanisms that link the travel experience with revisit intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of authenticity, historical culture, social value, and experiential quality on revisit intention through the role of visitor engagement mediation in tourists from Situ Candi Cangkuang, Garut based on the perspective of social exchange theory. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 162 tourists who visited Situ Candi Cangkuang, Garut. Data analysis was carried out using structural equation modeling based on partial least squares with the help of smartpls software version 3.0. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, authenticity, historical culture, social value, and experiential quality are proven to have a positive effect on revisit intention through the mediation role of visitor engagement. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of social value and experiential quality as antecedent variables in the revisit intention model in cultural and historical heritage tourism destinations. Managerially, the findings of this study provide implications for the management of Situ Candi Cangkuang Garut to develop a strategy that focuses on improving the quality of tourist experiences, preserving the authenticity of destinations, strengthening historical and cultural values, and creating social values to strengthen visitor engagement and increase tourist revisit intention. Scientifically, this study expands the application of social exchange theory in the context of cultural tourism by integrating social value and experiential quality as antecedent variables that contribute to the formation of visitor engagement, thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of forming revisit intention. It is further recommended to develop this research model by integrating other relevant variables in the perspective of social exchange theory so as to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence revisit intention.
