This study aimed to determine the effect of weaning media composition and growth regulators on the growth of gaharu seedlings. The study used a factorial randomized block design with four replications. The treatments tested consisted of weaning media composition (M1 = topsoil, M2 = topsoil + manure 50%:50%, M3 = topsoil + compost 50%:50%) and Atonik growth regulators (A1 = 0 cc/l water and A2 = 0.5 cc/l water). Observed parameters included seedling survival percentage, seedling height increase, stem diameter increase, leaf number increase, root length, root fresh weight, and root dry weight. Data were analyzed using the F test followed by Duncan's Significant Range Test. The results showed that weaning media composition had a significant to highly significant effect on seedling height increase, leaf number, root length, and root dry weight, but had no significant effect on seedling survival percentage and stem diameter. The M1 (topsoil) medium treatment yielded the best results, with a height increase of 2.98 cm, a leaf count of 5.25, and a root dry weight of 23.09 mg. Application of the Atonik plant growth regulator at a concentration of 0.5 cc/L of water did not significantly affect any of the observed parameters. However, the interaction between the medium and the plant growth regulator affected root system growth, with the M1A2 combination producing the highest fresh root weight of 37.20 mg and the highest dry root weight of 29.57 mg. In general, the use of unmixed topsoil is the most suitable medium for the initial growth of agarwood seedlings during the weaning phase.
