Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of village public services as a responsibility of the village government to meet community administrative needs in a fast, clear, transparent, and accountable manner. The Bua Village Government in Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency, has a strategic role in providing direct services to the community. However, it still faces several challenges, including limited facilities and infrastructure, unstable internet access, electricity disruptions, and unequal capacity among village officials in using information technology. This study aims to analyze the optimization of public services provided by the Bua Village Government in improving community services and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving the village head, village secretary, village officials, members of the Village Consultative Body, and community service users. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and SaldaƱa interactive model, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results show that public services in Bua Village have been implemented fairly well. Service effectiveness is reflected in the ability of village officials to complete services according to community needs. Service efficiency is shown through task distribution among officials and relatively fast service processes. Service productivity is reflected in the ability of officials to complete various administrative services despite limited resources. However, service delivery has not been fully optimized due to limited facilities, unstable internet access, electricity disruptions, and unequal digital skills among officials. This study concludes that service optimization should be strengthened through capacity building for village officials, improved service facilities, transparent service standards, and sustainable use of information technology.
