Abstract

Latar belakang: Peningkatan jumlah lanjut usia membutuhkan penanganan yang serius, ini dikarenakan secara alamiah lansia mengalami penurunan baik dari segi fisik, biologi maupun mentalnya. Hasil penetitian yang dilakukan sebelumnya didapatkan hasil bahwa kebanyakan lansia mengalami depresi ringan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat depresi pada lanjut usia yang tinggal di desa Gumbrih, berdasarkan Usia, Jenis Kelamin, Pendidikan, Status Perkawinan dan Tempat tinggal. Metode: Observasional yang bersifat deskriptif, untuk pengambilan datanya menggunakan kuisioner Geriatric Disstres Scale (GDS) dengan 15 item pertanyaan yang dilakukan selama 7 minggu. Hasil: Pada penelitian didapatkan subyek penelitian rata-rata berusia 60-69 tahun sebanyak 56,1%, Dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki lebih banyak yaitu 51,5%, rata-rata berpendidikan terakhir SD (Sekolah Dasar) sebanyak 54,4%, sudah menikah yaitu sebanyak 80,1%, dan tinggal dengan keluarga sebanyak 94,2%. Pada penelitian diperoleh 71,3% yang normal/tidak depresi, 25.7% yang depresi ringan, 1,8%  mengalami depresi sedang dan 0.6% mengalami depresi berat. Simpulan: Sebagian besar responden berusia 60-69 tahun, Berjenis kelamin laki laki, berpendidikan sekolah dasar (SD) dan memiliki tingkat depresi normal (Tidak depresi).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of nutritional status in the elderly at Panti Wredha Wana Sraya Denpasar. The research method used was an observational description with a sample of 29 respondents. Data collection by interview and anthropometric measurement. The collected data was analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of frequency distribution regarding the nutritional status of the elderly. The results of data analysis showed that the majority of respondents were female (79%). Based on the age group, most of the elderly in the Advanced Old / Old (75-90 years) category were 58.6%. As many as 100% of elderly men have a normal abdominal circumference, while in women only 69.6%. The results of the Body Mask Indeks calculation showed that 55.2% of the elderly in the normal weight category. The shortage of weight in the heavy category is 10.3%, and the category of mild weight deficiency is 17.2%. The nutritional status of the elderly at Panti Wredha Wana Sraya Denpasar is mostly in the normal category, but there are still elderly who lack weight in the heavy category. It is expected that there will be continuous and consistent monitoring of elderly nutritional status at Panti Wredha Wana Sraya Denpasar so that the elderly nutritional status can be controlled.

Abstract

Background: High prevalence of anemia exists in the developing country where its causes are multi-factorial. One of the most vulnerable populations are adolescent girl. This study aims to know the prevalence and risk factor of anemia among adolescent girls in Abiansemal High School Methods: Cross sectional study was conduct with a total of 254 individuals comprising healthy participated. The relevant information was collected with interviews, anthropometric measurements and Hemoglobin assay. Multivariate Poisson Regression analysis was done to analysis the risk factor. Results: The prevalence of anemia was found to be 71.3% (22.8% mild anemia, 47.2% moderate anemia and 1.2% severe anemia). Mean age of the adolescent girls was 15.5 ± 0.66 years old. Multivariate analysis showed that the strongest predictors of anemia associated with adolescent girls is eating frequency ? 2 times a day (aPR:1.55; 95% CI: 1.32 to 1.81), excessive menstrual bleeding (aPR: 1, 35; 95% CI 1.17 to 1.56), vegetarian diet (aPR: 1.23; 95% CI 1.08 to 1.41) and drinking tea during meals (aPR: 1.17; 95% CI 1.01 to 1.36). However, the level of knowledge, socioeconomic status, and BMI did not contribute significantly in this study. Conclusions: High prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls of Abiansemal High School. Anemia screening should be done regularly and giving iron tablets to adolescent girls.

Abstract

Background: A non-communicable disease that mostly affects the elderly in Indonesia is cardiovascular disease, which is the biggest cause of death for people aged 65 years and over with a higher number of deaths in developing countries. One of the non-communicable diseases commonly experienced by the elderly in society is hypertension or high blood pressure. Hypertension that occurs in society often causes problems, one of which is sleep quality disturbances. Sleep quality is one of the risk factors for hypertension. Inadequate sleep quality results in physiological and psychological balance disorders. Hypertension can be prevented by controlling risk factors, most of which are behavioral factors in the form of life habits, one of which is sleep quality. The purpose of this study was to describe the quality of sleep in the elderly with hypertension Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach using a questionnaire and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 61 respondents. Results: The most respondents were 60-74 years old with a total of 50.83%, the most sex was women with 57.4%. The most common sleep quality for the elderly was poor sleep quality at 64%. Conclusion: Most of the sleep quality of elderly with hypertension in Marga Village is poor, where hypertension affects the quality of sleep of the elderly so that it is hoped that the elderly will check their blood pressure regularly and carry out therapy to help stabilize blood pressure so that the quality of sleep can be improved.
