The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample selected was one class using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the implementation of learning using the SSIBL model achieved a percentage score of 95% excellent for teacher activities and 96% excellent for student activities. The development of environmental literacy in the experimental class achieved an N-Gain value of 0.71 (high). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of the SSIBL model can develop students' environmental literacy skills regarding the concept of environmental change
