Abstract

Elementary schools are educational institutions that function not only as places for knowledge transfer but also as complex social systems. This study aimed to analyze SDN 17 Kolono as an educational organization from a social system perspective. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and educational staff. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested using source and method triangulation. The findings showed that SDN 17 Kolono has a social structure involving the principal, teachers, students, and educational staff who interact to achieve educational goals. Social interactions within the school environment reflect the values of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and mutual respect, which support the learning process and students’ character development. Harmonious relationships between the school and the community also create an educational environment conducive to students’ academic, social, and character development. Abstract

This study aims to analyze elementary school organizational management strategies for improving the effectiveness of the use of learning technology at SDN 1 Puutamboli. This study employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that effective organizational management strategies include careful planning, strengthening teachers’ capacities, providing facilities and infrastructure, and supporting the school principal’s leadership. The implementation of these strategies contributes to increased student engagement and improved quality of technology-based learning.   Keywords: school management, learning technology, effectiveness, elementary school, educational leadership

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by school principals in improving elementary school teachers’ performance in the digital era through a case study at SDN 2 Watopute. This study was motivated by the demands of educational digitalization, which require teachers to possess adequate pedagogical and technological competencies, while various challenges are still encountered in practice. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and educational staff selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that transformational leadership was implemented through idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The principal promoted teachers’ digital competencies through training, academic supervision, and the development of a collaborative and innovative work culture. Supporting factors included the principal’s commitment, technological facilities, and organizational support, while inhibiting factors included limited digital literacy and resistance to change. Transformational leadership had a positive impact on teacher performance, particularly in the use of learning technology and innovation in teaching methods.
