Abstract

Penelitian ini membandingkan Quality of Service (QoS) dan Quality of Experience (QoE) YouTube Streaming dan Live Streaming pada Wi-Fi lantai 3 Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo. Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada integrasi QoS objektif (Wireshark) dan QoE subjektif (persepsi pengguna) untuk kedua layanan YouTube di jaringan kampus. Hasil QoS (throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss) YouTube Streaming sebesar 1.449,05 kbps, 3,886 ms, 3,904 ms, 0,051%, sedangkan Live Streaming sebesar 5.769,075 kbps, 0,997 ms, 0,997 ms, 0,112%. Evaluasi QoE menunjukkan 72,72% responden mengeluhkan buffering saat live streaming, dan 100% merasakan jeda waktu. Meskipun delay transmisi siaran langsung secara teknis lebih rendah, pengguna merasakan buffering lebih tinggi akibat pemrosesan real-time. Temuan ini menjadi acuan pengelola jaringan kampus untuk mengoptimalkan bandwidth dan manajemen trafik. This study compares the Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) of YouTube Streaming and Live Streaming on the third-floor Wi-Fi network of Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo. The novelty lies in integrating objective QoS (as measured by Wireshark) and subjective QoE (as perceived by users) for both YouTube services. QoS results (throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss) for YouTube Streaming were 1,449.05 kbps, 3.886 ms, 3.904 ms, and 0.051%, while Live Streaming yielded 5,769.075 kbps, 0.997 ms, 0.997 ms, and 0.112%. QoE results show that 72.72% of respondents experienced buffering during live broadcasts, and 100% noticed delays. Although packet delay for live streaming was lower, users perceived higher buffering due to real-time processing. These findings serve as a reference for campus network administrators to optimize bandwidth and traffic management.
