Abstract

The digitalization of zakat services has expanded the accessibility and efficiency of zakat payments in Indonesia. However, the sustainability of digital zakat institutions depends heavily on contributors’ trust in the quality of electronic services and the transparency of institutional information. This study examines the influence of electronic service quality and information transparency on trust in digital zakat institutions among zakat contributors in Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to 120 respondents who had paid zakat through digital platforms. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling, and all variables were measured using a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25 through descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that electronic service quality has a positive and significant effect on trust. Information transparency also has a positive and significant effect on trust. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence trust, as indicated by an F-value of 88.714 and a significance level below 0.001. The model explains 60.2% of the variance in contributors’ trust. These findings indicate that reliable digital services, secure transactions, responsive support, accessible financial reporting, and clear zakat distribution information are important determinants of trust. Digital zakat institutions should therefore strengthen both technological service quality and transparent governance to increase contributor confidence and sustain formal zakat participation.

Abstract

This study examines the relationships between religiosity, trust in halal certification, and consumer loyalty toward halal cosmetics in Jakarta, Indonesia. A quantitative approach with an explanatory and correlational design was employed, involving 65 respondents who were surveyed using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that religiosity has a positive and significant relationship with consumer loyalty, while trust in halal certification also demonstrates a positive and significant relationship. Simultaneously, both variables significantly explain consumer loyalty, with an R² value of 0.369, indicating that 36.9% of the variation in consumer loyalty is explained by the model. Religiosity demonstrates a stronger standardized association with consumer loyalty than certification trust. These findings highlight the importance of religious commitment and institutional certification credibility in understanding consumer loyalty. The study provides practical insights for cosmetic manufacturers and certification authorities to strengthen consumer confidence through credible halal assurance and marketing strategies aligned with religious values.

Abstract

In this paper, the intellectual structure, cooperation patterns among scholars, and theme evolution in Islamic history literature from the year 2000 to 2025 is analyzed using bibliometric and science mapping approaches. In the study, bibliographic information is examined by means of bibliometric techniques in VOSviewer software to assess influential publications, cooperation networks among authors and institutions, international research collaboration, co-occurrence of keywords, theme evolution, and research density. The results show that the field is characterized by an interdisciplinary research environment covering historical, religious, cultural, political, and socioeconomic aspects. Citation analysis has highlighted influential publications on issues such as cross-cultural knowledge transfer, Islamic political movements, religious traditions, and cultural heritage. Analysis of cooperation networks has shown the concentration of scholarly cooperation with the central role played by Malaysia and Indonesia in the identified international cooperation network. Analysis of co-occurrence of keywords has highlighted the central role played by Islam and religion with respect to various research themes, such as globalization, cultural heritage, environmentalism, philanthropy, and design history. From a temporal overlay perspective, there appears to be diversification of the themes being explored, where previous literature had a link to globalization and cultural heritage, whereas recent publications have focused on regional, social, and material-cultural aspects. The keyword density approach also provides evidence of thematic concentrations and specialized research directions. Nonetheless, the use of literature that is outside the traditional historiography of Islam raises the need for defining disciplinary boundaries and standardization of bibliographic information.
