Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of da'wah programs implemented by Remaja Masjid Sejuta Pemuda Sukabumi in increasing Generation Z involvement in religious activities. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with one key informant, namely Muhammad Sanusi, Chairman of the Amanah Foundation of Masjid Sejuta Pemuda, who was purposively selected due to his central role in the planning, management, and development of the mosque’s da'wah programs, as well as his involvement since the establishment of the mosque. The use of a single key informant is considered appropriate because he possesses comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of all program activities and organizational strategies. The interview data were supported by relevant literature sources. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that da'wah programs play a significant role in enhancing Generation Z participation through approaches aligned with their characteristics and needs. The provision of comfortable facilities, open interaction spaces, and dialogical communication encourages young people to actively engage in mosque activities. In addition, the programs contribute positively to behavioral and character development through continuous religious guidance delivered in a modern and youth-friendly manner. The study also reveals that social media serves as a strategic tool for expanding the reach of da'wah and strengthening youth engagement in religious activities. However, da'wah practitioners face challenges in addressing the critical, rational, and benefit-oriented mindset of Generation Z, requiring continuous innovation in program design and communication strategies. The study concludes that the integration of adaptive da'wah approaches, supportive environments, and digital media utilization constitutes an effective strategy for increasing Generation Z involvement in mosque-based religious activities.
