Abstract

Research The business feasibility study at this time aims to analyze entrepreneurial activities in the small and medium business sector in the community, where the source of this research is a new category where no journals or articles have discussed it. In this study it also aims to find out what decision-making methods are. what has been implemented and what strategies were used by the interviewees while running the business so that the business can survive amidst business competition. This time the author uses a qualitative method where the author meets directly with the interviewees to interview the business that has been run by the interviewees so far. It is hoped that data from the interviewees that has been collected by the author can be analyzed in detail, more detailed, and structured, and the author is expected to be able to provide input to the results of the analysis in the field so that in the future the business can develop better and be competitive in the world. with old and new players who have businesses engaged in the same field Penelitian Studi kelayakan bisnis pada kali ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kegiatan wirausaha di sektor usaha menengah kecil masyarakat ,dimana sumber penelitian ini termasuk kategori baru dimana belum ada jurnal atau artikel yang sudah pernah membahasnya. Didalam penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode pengambilan keputusan seperti apa yang sudah diterapkan dan strategi apa yang digunakan oleh narasumber selama menjalankan bisnis tersebut sehingga bisnis bisa bertahan ditengah persaingan bisnis. Kali ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana penulis bertemu secara langsung dengan narasumber untuk mewancarai terkait bisnis yang sudah dijalankan narasumber selama ini. Diharapkan data dari narasumber yang sudah dikumpulkan oleh penulis dapat di analisa secara detail, lebih rinci, dan terstruktur, serta penulis diharapkan dapat memberikan masukkan terhadap hasil analisa dilapangan agar kedepannya bisnis tersebut semakin bisa berkembang lebih baik dan bisa bersaing dengan pemain lama maupun baru yang memiliki bisnis yang bergerak dibidang yang sama.

Abstract

In teaching and learning English speaking, there are many English as foreign language (EFL) undergraduates who find some difficulties in learning English pronunciation. One of the challenges that undergraduate students finds in learning activity is the pronunciation mastery in Universities Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta was still low because English is not their native language and monotonous teaching media. The researcher adopted Augmented Reality (AR) application as the media to learning English pronunciation. This thesis is written 1) How is the pronunciation mastery of the students in the control group, 2) How is the pronunciation mastery of the students in the experimental group, 3). Is there any significant difference of the students’ pronunciation mastery in Control Group and Experimental group of the undergraduate students of English Department on the Second semester at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2022/2023. The present study adopts qualitative approach where the method used in this research was a quasi- experimental design, pre-post test, and control- experiment group. Total sample is 20 students university and using a convenience sampling technique, the data collected through a recorded oral test. The data will be analyzed and calculated using PRAAT software and SPSS version 25. The research findings prove that AR application may improve the students‟ production of vowel sounds. After using AR application as media learning pronunciation, there was a significant difference only in back vowel sounds. It can be concluded that there was a significant effect of AR application in improving students‟ pronunciation of vowel sounds. The results of this study are expected to encourage other researchers to conduct research related to the development, innovation, and use of AR application, especially in English education.
