Abstract

Growth and productivity of plants will occur if plants get light, carbon dioxide, water and nutrients that are sufficient for photosynthesis. In this study, pakcoy mustard was treated by combination of gong kebyar gamelan music and LED to determine its effect on the growth and productivity of pakcoy mustard, and determine the treatment that produced the best growth and productivity. The music is given for 3 hours starting at 09.00 - 12.00. LED light given for 20 hours starting at 06.00 - 02.00. The LEDs used include white, red-blue and red-white-blue. The variables observed include plant height, canopy area, leaves greenness, root length, wet weight and biomass of shoot and root. The result of the ANOVA analysis showed that the combination of gong kebyar gamelan music and white LED treatment had a negative effect, while the combination of gong kebyar gamelan music and red-blue, as well as red-white-blue LED treatment had a positive effect on the growth and productivity of pakcoy mustard. The combination of gong kebyar gamelan music and red-blue LED treatment produced the highest value on plant height (27.176 cm), canopy area (1457.59 cm2), greenness leaves (160.03), root length (23.6 cm), shoot and root wet weight (91.68 g and 5.26 g), and shoot and root biomass (4.63 g and 0.42 g). It can be concluded that the combination of gong kebyar gamelan music and red-blue LED treatment improved the growth and productivity of pakcoy mustard.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethanol vapor treatment on the quality and shelf life of Siamese citrus fruits at room temperature. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 different volumes of ethanol; 0 ml, 3ml, and 6 each were trapped in 5 grams of carrageenan which had been 10 ml of distilled water and put into a tea sachet. Sachets are then placed on styrofoam bases where there are 5 Siamese oranges, then covered with LDPE stretch film plastic. Siamese citrus fruit without treatment or control is provided as a comparison. The fruit is then stored at room temperature (28 ± 20). Weight loss, damage intensity, vitamin C, total acid, total dissolved solids, color, hardness, and organoleptic tests were observed during storage. The results showed that the general ethanol steam treatment had a significant effect in reducing the level of damage, weight loss slowed the rate of change in hardness, skincolor, total dissolved solids and vitamin C compared to controls. Similarly ethanol vapor is able to provide a higher panelist preference for color, taste, aroma and overall appearance compared to controls. From the various treatment volumes of ethanol 6 ml ethanol packaging creates the best vapor to slow down the rate of damage, change the quality, reduce shrinkage and increase the preference of panelists.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of occupational safety and health (K3) on worker performance and to find out the factors that most influence the performance of workers in the rice milling company. The questionnaire was used as a data collection tool that was disseminated to 20 employees in the suppression of rice in the area of Sedang, Angantaka, Jagapati, Kecamatan Abiansemal, Kabupaten Badung. Analysis of this study were emalyzed using validity test, normality test, reliability test and linear regression test. The results of the validity test analysis are 9 invalid questions. The results of the normality test, the data are normally distributed with a significance value of 0.819. The reliability test obtained the results of the data that was reliable with the value of Cronbach's Alpha 0.933. As well as the analysis of the linear regression test the results are closely related. From the research conducted it can be concluded that (1) the relationship of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) to the workforce can be seen from the magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R2) the relationship between the factors that influence K3 and the performance of workers. The performance of workers with supervisory factors has a coefficient of determination of 61.27% and with occupational safety of 88.51%, with health of workers of 86.09%, (2) Factors that most influence the performance of workers in the company of raising rice are factors of work safety, where the closeness of the relationship between the two is 61.27%.
