Abstract

Sikap pelayanan memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam upaya terselenggaranya fungsi perpustakaan secara prima. Salah satu bentuk upaya tersebut adalah dengan diterapkannya tata tertib sebagai panduan bagi pemustaka dalam memperoleh hak dan kewajibannya. Sebagai salah satu intitusi pendidikan tinggi, Universitas Bengkulu telah menerapkan berbagai aturan yang tertuang dalam tata tertib perpustakaan demi terciptanya kedisiplinan dan kesinambungan akademis yang sehat dan kondusif. Idealnya tata tertib di buat untuk ditaati, namun praktiknya masih juga ditemukan berbagai pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh pemustaka, sehingga berakibat pada terganggunya sistem pelayanan pada perpustakaan. Melalui penelitian dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dalam tulisan ini, penulis membahas bagaimanakah upaya perpustakaan dalam mengevaluasi serta menerapkan tata tertib secara maksimal dan tegas.. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa menciptakan kondisi akademis yang sehat dan kondusif tidak terlepas dari keterlibatan berbagai pihak, pentingnya membangun self awareness pemustaka akan pentingnya menerapkan kedisiplinan diri, demikian pula perpustakaan untuk terus mengevaluasi dan berbenah dari setiap kejadian yang berakibat fatal pada citra organisasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT Libraries as information resource providers are considered successful in meeting the needs and expectations of users by providing easy access both physically and digitally, and enabling users to find the resources they need. One of the library's initiatives to meet the information needs of users is the free library service in the library. A good service is one that can provide a sense of satisfaction and pleasure for the users. The self-upload library service at UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Bengkulu is one example of how online library services support government and university policies to facilitate the information transaction process and reduce the buildup of diverse user requests with limited resources. From the results of research on student perceptions of self-uploading free digital library services, a positive statement can be seen from the average respondent's answer which states that the digital service is very good in meeting the needs of library users, expressed by 59% of the questionnaire survey results with a frequency of 845 who chose the highest score of 4 (Very Good). Respondents feel happy with the existence of this service, which can help and meet user needs when using free digital library services. Keywords: Library-free, Self upload, Library services, Servqual

Abstract

The explosion of information has become a characteristic of the world today, information has become an unavoidable entity. Therefore, intelligence in choosing good and correct information is an appropriate step in warding off the hoax. Hoax is news or information that contains elements of lying, spread quickly and has a negative impact on the democratic order. The library as a legitimate provider of information should have taken part in counteracting hoax attacks in order to create an intelligent and civilized society, the society that is thinking clearly and not easily provoked by false news. One effort that can be taken by the library as an information provider is to actively promote literacy awareness in all levels of society, starting from the school community and the wider society in general. With information literacy, someone will be able to process information appropriately. Information literacy is an absolute competency that must be possessed by every member of society, especially in the digital era, which every second produces countless amounts of information, so being smart and critical of information is a surefire strategy in the fight against the hoax.
