Abstract

It is especially based on various issues that are currently occurring in 2020. Indonesia's economy is currently experiencing a dramatic decline due to the Covid19 pandemic, which is particularly affecting the MSME in the city of Batam. During the Covid19 pandemic, most of the MSMEs in Batam are currently at risk of closing and closing their businesses due to the difficulty of earning income from their performance. Applying a digital marketing-based business system with a quality function development approach aims to build a digital marketing-based digital business system. The approach used in this study is a study using the Quality Function Development (QFD) approach. This approach is performed to get information based on customer feedback in the design of this system. Product identification and specification, concept development and selection, design and prototype analysis are performed after customer feedback is obtained. The results of our analysis of the application of this system are reliable in terms of information, convenience, ease of use, and transaction security. Functional criteria, on the other hand, include attractive looks, accurate transaction calculations, business actor relationships, security features, digital marketing to increase product presence, and the ability to upload photos in appropriate and informative resolutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of investment opportunity set (IOS), capital structure, and firm growth on firm value using a population of 47 banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period from 2017 to 2021. The study utilizes purposive sampling method, resulting in a sample of 14 companies for the research. This research falls under the category of descriptive research with a quantitative approach, using secondary data obtained from the financial reports of the companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Hypothesis testing in this research employs the multiple linear regression analysis method, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, classical assumptions, determination coefficient, t-test, and F-test. The results of this research show that partially, capital structure and firm growth have a positive and significant impact, while investment opportunity set has a positive but not significant impact on firm value. With an Adjusted R Square value of 0.571 or 51.1%, this indicates that the contribution of investment opportunity set (IOS), capital structure, and firm growth to firm value is 51.1%, while the remaining 42.9% is explained by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the selection of accountant careers at accounting students of Batam International University. Independent variables used are financial rewards, labor market considerations, intrinsic value of work and gender roles. The dependent variable used is the accountant career. Data analysis techniques in this study include multiple linear regression. The results of the study can be seen that the variables of financial rewards in accountant career selection with t count 0,161 are smaller than t table 1,665 and a significant value of 0,872 <0,05. Job market consideration variables in accountant career selection with 2,704 t count smaller than t table 1,665 and significant value 0,008 <0,05. the variable intrinsic value of work in the accounting career selection with t count 1,144 is smaller than t table 1,665 and significant value is 0,256 <0,05.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of efficiency and the effectiveness of hotel tax on the original revenue of Batam city in 2012-2017. The population in this research uses the sampling census method in the form of reports on the original revenue of Batam city for 5 years with 60 months of data. The test result shows that the efficiency of the hotel tax has a positive and partially significant effect on the local revenue. Meanwhile, the test result on the effectiveness of hotel tax has a positive and partially significant effect on the local revenue. Simultaneously, the efficiency and the effectiveness of hotel tax have a positive and significant influence on the local revenue.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze financial performance using liquidity ratios (Current Ratio and Cash Ratio), solvency (Debt to Assets Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio), profitability (Return on Investment and Return on Equity), and activity (Asset Turnover and Fixed Asset Turnover) at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. for the period 2019–2024. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method, which explains and provides an overview of a phenomenon from numerical data listed in the financial statements for 6 consecutive years. The results of the study indicate that PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. has excellent profitability and asset efficiency, this can be seen from the ROI, ROE, TAT, and FAT values that are above industry standards. However, in terms of liquidity, the Current Ratio is below standard, even though the Cash Ratio is very high. This is due to sufficient cash capacity to meet short-term obligations. Meanwhile, a high solvency ratio indicates the company dependence on debt, so financial risks need to be managed more carefully. This research provides an empirical picture of the strengths and weaknesses of the company financial performance and can be the basis for management strategies in optimizing capital structure, increasing liquidity, and maintaining asset efficiency in a sustainable manner.
