Abstract

The development of entrepreneurial soft skills is seen as important in the educational process in higher education to prepare resources that are ready to enter the business world. Entrepreneurial soft skills are needed for prospective entrepreneurs as well as knowledge and technical skills. This study aims to find out the role of a-MELT training held for STEI Hamfara Yogyakarta students in honing students' entrepreneurial soft skills. A-MELT training is an advanced level management, entrepreneurship and leadership training program for final degree students. This study follows up on previous researchers' suggestions that entrepreneurship education should be conducted using Project-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance individual and group learning and encourage participants to set their own goals to increase interest, understanding, motivation, and directed effort. This study uses quantitative data and descriptive analysis. This study concluded that training activities were able to hone entrepreneurial soft skills with an average score of very good (i.e. 83.29% of 5 Likert scales). Training activities are able to hone the spiritual dimension of entrepreneurial soft skills beyond intrapersonal, while the lowest is in the interpersonal dimension. In general, this training activity is able to hone the highest entrepreneurial soft skills on the attributes of hard work and courage to take risks, and responsibility. Some of the attributes that are on the agenda in the future to be improved are teamwork, creativity & innovation, customer relations, leadership, motivation, communication, and curiosity.
