Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies employed by a female principal in improving the quality of education at SMA Negeri 12 Bone, identify the impact of these strategies, and examine the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the female principal's leadership strategies emphasize systematic school planning, analysis of challenges and opportunities, active involvement of stakeholders in decision-making, effective coordination, strengthened supervision, and continuous program evaluation through both scheduled and incidental meetings. These strategies have contributed to improving educational quality by enhancing school governance, strengthening teachers' professionalism, and fostering a collaborative work culture. Supporting factors include the strong commitment of teachers and educational staff, continuous teacher professional development, active student participation, and strong community support based on close social relationships with the school. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include limited financial resources, inconsistent commitment among some school members, and persistent gender stereotypes that perceive female leadership as less effective than male leadership. The findings suggest that participatory and collaborative female leadership plays a significant role in enhancing educational quality.
