Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in economic development but remain vulnerable to environmental disruptions due to limited resources. This study examines the effect of financial resources on MSME performance, both directly and indirectly through dynamic capabilities and organizational resilience. It also investigates the moderating role of business model innovation in the relationship between resilience and performance. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 300 MSMEs and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that financial resources significantly influence dynamic capabilities and organizational resilience. Dynamic capabilities also enhance resilience, thereby improving MSME performance. Furthermore, resilience mediates the relationship between financial resources and performance. However, business model innovation does not significantly moderate the relationship between resilience and performance. These findings highlight the importance of financial resources in strengthening internal capabilities and resilience to improve MSME performance, particularly in uncertain business environments and economic instability.
