Abstract

The low level of scientific literacy in junior high schools is caused by the lack of varied science learning media, which makes students bored and less curious. The study aims to improve students' scientific literacy through the implementation of comic-assisted learning. The study took place at SMPN 2 Bangkalan from January to May of the 2025/2026 academic year. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 30 students as the implementation class. This type of research is experimental research. The media then continued to the implementation stage in class VIII-i by obtaining an implementation test response score of 85.6%, which gave a positive value to the media provided. Students obtained an average pretest and posttest score of 41.6% and 71.5%, respectively, which means that there was an increase in N-Gain of 0.51 with a moderate improvement category.
