Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline on the productivity of public services at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pagar Alam City. The research employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population consisted of 79 employees of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pagar Alam City, and the entire population was used as the research sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, simple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, and the t-test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that the regression equation obtained is Y = 0.364 + 0.688X, which means that work discipline has a positive relationship with public service productivity. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.464, indicating that work discipline explains 46.4% of the variation in public service productivity, while the remaining 53.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The regression test results show that work discipline has a positive effect on public service productivity. This study implies that improving employees’ work discipline can contribute to enhancing the productivity of public services within the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pagar Alam City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of raw material price control and roasting cost efficiency on the increase of business profit at Rino Coffee Roasting in Pelajaran Village, Jarai District, during the 2023–2025 period. This research employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The research sample consisted of 36 monthly financial reports from the 2023–2025 period, which were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that raw material price control and roasting cost efficiency have a positive and significant effect on the increase of business profit. This is evidenced by the t-test, where the raw material price control variable obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, while the roasting cost efficiency variable obtained a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. Furthermore, the F-test results show that raw material price control and roasting cost efficiency simultaneously have a significant effect on the increase of business profit, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.952 indicates that 95.2% of the variation in business profit increase is explained by raw material price control and roasting cost efficiency, while the remaining 4.8% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Therefore, the better the raw material price control and the more efficient the roasting costs, the greater the increase in business profit at Rino Coffee Roasting in Pelajaran Village, Jarai District.
