Abstract

This article examines the relationship between Protestant Christian teachings and the principles of ecology and environmental preservation. This study aims to uncover the theological basis for human responsibility towards creation and to identify how faith values can be applied in everyday life to preserve the environment. The method used is a literature study by examining Bible verses, theological views, and scientific literature related to the environment. The results of the discussion indicate that Protestant Christian teachings position humans as managers and guardians of creation, not the absolute owners of nature. Environmental preservation is not only a social obligation but also a manifestation of obedience to God. The implications of this study indicate that religious education can be an effective means of instilling ecological awareness in the younger generation.
