Abstract

Mufrad?t mastery is an important aspect of Arabic language learning because it provides a foundation for students to understand and use the language both orally and in writing. However, in Arabic learning among tenth-grade students at a Madrasah Aliyah Darul Munajah, some students still experience difficulties in memorizing, understanding, and using vocabulary, indicating the need for more concrete and interactive learning media. This study aimed to improve students' mufrad?t mastery through the use of flashcards. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach involving 11 tenth-grade students at a Madrasah Aliyah Darul Munajah during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through mufrad?t mastery tests, student activity observations, and documentation, and were analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The results indicated an improvement in students' mufrad?t mastery following the implementation of flashcards. The improvement was reflected not only in learning outcomes but also in students' engagement during the learning process, particularly in observing, matching, pronouncing, recalling, and using vocabulary. Therefore, flashcards can serve as an effective, simple, and interactive alternative for improving mufrad?t mastery among Madrasah Aliyah Darul Munajah students.
