Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, sales growth, and asset structure on capital structure in companies listed in the Kompas100 Index during the 2022–2024 period. The study employs a quantitative approach with a sample of 40 Kompas100 Index companies that were consistently listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), resulting in a total of 120 observations drawn from annual financial statements over the research period. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, adjusted to satisfy all classical assumption tests, with the assistance of SPSS version 26 software. The results indicate that, partially, profitability has a negative effect on capital structure, and sales growth has a positive effect on capital structure, while asset structure has no significant effect on capital structure. Simultaneously, profitability, sales growth, and asset structure have a significant combined effect on capital structure.
