Abstract

Background: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that is influenced by the nutritional status of the expectant mother or mother, nutrition during pregnancy, fetus, baby, up to 2 years of age. Sigi Regency is included in the 4 regencies with the main locus of stunting in Central Sulawesi Province. In 2022, the Marawola Community Health Center in Sigi Regency with a total number of 2,030 children under five had a fairly high stunting rate, namely 216 cases with a prevalence of 36.8%. Objective: to provide increased knowledge to cadres through online education in the form of counseling about the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). Method: Type and design of Quasi Experimental research design, one group pre-posttest without control. The research period was carried out for 5 days from 26 to 30 June 2023. The population was all 160 cadres in the Marawola Health Center work area. The sample was 20 respondents,the sampling technique was purposive sampling. Inclusion criteria are having a cellphone and WhatsApp application. The independent variable is cadre knowledge and the dependent is online education about 1000 HPK. Univariate analysis of frequency distribution and bivariate chi square test. Results: knowledge before the intervention (Pretest) obtained an average value of 73.50, while knowledge after the intervention (Posttest) obtained an average value of 91.75, which means there was an increase in knowledge after the intervention with a p value of 0.000<0.05 with the Paired T test -test. Conclusion: online education about 1000 HPK influences cadres' knowledge in efforts to prevent stunting in the Marawola Health Center working area. Suggestions require interesting, not boring education that can be accessed at any time to increase cadres' knowledge to reduce stunting rates.
