Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model can increase students' interest in learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects. Several factors such as lack of student learning motivation, lack of mastery of subject matter, boring teachers so that students get bored quickly, lack of innovative learning methods, lack of educators who master technology, and inadequate facilities and infrastructure are the driving factors for this research. One option that educators can take to increase learning motivation is the learning model. In facing increasingly complex developments, teachers must build interactive learning by using various learning models such as the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model. This study combines library research methods with a qualitative approach. Secondary data sources are used and data collection methods are obtained from journals and previous research publications published between 2021 and 2024.
