Abstract

In multi-area interconnected power systems (MAIPS), all the plant state’s measurement is stiff due to the lack of a device or the cost of the sensor is expensive. To solve this restriction, a novel sliding mode control technique- based load frequency controller (LFC) is investigated for MAIPS where the estimation states of the system is utilized fully in the switching surface and controller. Initially, a single-phase switching function is suggested to dismiss the reaching phase in traditional sliding mode control (TSMC) approach. Secondly, the MAIPS’s unmeasurable variables is estimated by using the suggested observer tool. Next, a new single phase robustness load frequency sliding mode controller (SPRLFSMC) for the MAIPS is established based on the support of the observer instrument and output data only. The entire plant’s stability is ensured through the Lyapunov theory. Even though the plant’s variables are not measured, the obtained results in the simulation display that the frequency remains in the nominal domain under load instabilities on the MAIPS. The simulation results for a three-area interconnected electricity plant verify the preeminence of the anticipated SPRLFSMC over other current controllers with respect to settling time and overshoot.

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the system performance in term of outage probability (OP) and intercept probability (IP) user selection protocols in full-duplex (FD) power splitting protocol (PSP) energy harvesting (EH) cooperative network over the Rayleigh fading channel. In this network, security and privacy issues are significant due to the possible eavesdropping by surrounding users. In this case, the security performance and reliable performance are represented by outage probability (OP) and intercept probability (IP), respectively. The power-splitting energy harvesting protocol is applied in our analysis. We rigorously derive the closed-form expressions of both OP and IP of the system and study the effect of various parameters. Finally, the Monte Carlo simulation results are also performed to confirm the correctness of all theoretical analysis derived.

Abstract

In this paper, we propose and investigate the optimal tuning PID controller of unstable fractional order system by desired transient characteristics using the real interpolation method (RIM). The research shows that the main advantages of this method are drawn as the followings: 1) Carrying out an investigation of the stable region of coefficients of a PID controller using D-decomposition method; 2) Applying the method to investigate an unstable fractional order system.
