<![CDATA[The community of BTN Pengsong Indah, West Lombok, faces environmental problems, including land conversion, pollution, flash floods, rising temperatures, and human-monkey conflict, exacerbated by low public understanding of climate change impacts. Due to habitat loss. This community service aimed to strengthen community awareness through environmental education and community capacity building. The activity was conducted on May 25, 2026, at BTN Pengsong Indah, Perempuan Village, West Lombok. Due to time constraints, participants were two local residents: a community member who had lived in the area for 30 years and a caretaker of Pura Gunung Pengsong who had lived for 24 years. The method included problem identification, environmental education, outreach, participatory discussion, and evaluation. Results showed enthusiastic participation. Concrete indicators of success: (1) participants could explain the link between land conversion, floods, rising temperatures, and habitat loss; (2) participants understood proper waste management; and (3) participants committed to supporting communal clean-ups and greening. As a preliminary study, this activity successfully increased participants’ awareness and understanding of climate change impacts. Direct benefits included increased knowledge and awareness to engage in mitigation and adaptation. Due to the limited number of participants, further activities with broader community involvement are recommended. Program sustainability requires local government support and regular mentoring.]]>
