<![CDATA[Reading interest among elementary school students is an important foundation in developing literacy skills, critical thinking abilities, and supporting academic achievement. However, the reading interest of students in Indonesia remains relatively low due to various internal and external factors, such as limited reading facilities, lack of attractive reading materials, low family support, and the influence of digital technology that shifts children's attention from reading activities. This condition requires concrete efforts to foster a culture of literacy from an early age. One of the efforts that can be implemented is through effective and engaging school literacy programs. This study aims to improve the reading interest of elementary school students through the implementation of a school literacy program. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 20 elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The implementation of literacy activities included reading for 15 minutes before lessons, providing reading corners, storytelling activities, literacy competitions, and teacher-guided reading sessions. The findings indicate that the literacy program positively contributed to increasing students' reading interest, improving reading habits, enhancing student participation in literacy activities, and creating a positive literacy culture within the school environment. Students showed greater enthusiasm for reading, increased frequency of borrowing books, and stronger motivation to engage in literacy-related activities. Therefore, school literacy programs can serve as an effective strategy to improve reading interest and support the development of students' literacy competencies from an early age.Keywords : Reading Interest, School]]>
