Abstract

Background In the post-operative period during the NICU stay, neonates must undergo various painful procedures. Non-pharmacological methods may be beneficial in managing the harmful effects of procedural pain on the development of neonates in their early life. Objectives To investigate the effect of non-pharmacological methods on post-operative procedural pain in neonates admitted to neonatal intensive care units. Methods A search in electronic databases was done to identify randomized clinical trials published from 2010 to 2020 that encompassed neonates undergoing painful procedures in the NICU and followed PRISMA guidelines. Studies with non-human subjects, neonates with unstable vital signs, non-clinical studies, and incomplete methodology were excluded. PubMed, Cochrane, and Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) were evaluated respectively using Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) and Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS). Results Two reviewers examined articles independently and found 11 articles that met the study's inclusion criteria, with a total of 955 neonates with non-pharmacological methods of pain management in neonates. Non-pharmacological methods, such as massage therapy, oral sucrose, kangaroo mother care, and facilitated tucking showed significant reduction in pain scores among neonates who underwent painful procedures in NICU. Outcomes showed variability in effectiveness, emphasizing the need for tailored approaches. Conclusions The findings indicated that non-pharmacological methods can effectively manage pain in neonates admitted to the NICU. Pain management improves the clinical condition of neonates and promotes parents-neonate bonding, with consequent reduction in length of stay in the hospital.

Abstract

This study discusses the price of tobacco and tobacco production on the volume of tobacco exports in Central Java Province in 2010-2021. This study aims to determine the effect of tobacco prices and tobacco production on the volume of tobacco exports in Central Java Province in 2010-2021. This research is aquantitative research with the subject of this research is Central Java Province. The data used comes from the Central Java Province Statistics Center in 2010-2021. The data analysis method used is a multiple linear regression analysis model using the EViews 12 program. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect of tobacco production on the volume of tobacco exports in Central Java Province, and there is a negative and insignificant effect of tobacco prices on export volumes. tobacco in Central Java Province. And there is a positive and significant effect of price and production on the volume of tobacco exports in Central Java Province.

Abstract

Accurate prediction of construction costs plays a pivotal role in ensuring successful project delivery, influencing budget formulation, resource allocation, and financial risk management. However, traditional estimation methods often struggle to handle complex, nonlinear relationships inherent in construction datasets. This study proposes a process innovation by systematically evaluating six machine learning (ML) models, i.e., Ridge Regression, Lasso Regression, Elastic Net, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), XGBoost, and CatBoost, on a standardized RSMeans dataset comprising 4,477 real-world construction data points. The primary aim is to benchmark the predictive performance, generalizability, and stability of both linear and ensemble models in construction cost forecasting. Each model is subjected to rigorous hyperparameter tuning using grid search with 5-fold cross-validation. Performance is assessed using R² (coefficient of determination), RMSE (root mean squared error), and MBE (mean bias error), while confidence intervals are computed to quantify predictive uncertainty. Results indicate that linear models achieve modest accuracy (R² ≈ 0.83), but struggle to model nonlinear interactions. In contrast, ensemble-based models significantly outperform , i.e., XGBoost and CatBoost achieve R² values of 0.988 and 0.987, respectively, RMSE values below 0.5, and near-zero MBE. Moreover, confidence interval visualization and feature importance analysis provide transparency and interpretability, enhancing the models practical applicability. Unlike prior studies that compare models in isolation, this work introduces a unified, interpretable framework and highlights the trade-offs between accuracy, overfitting, and deployment readiness. The findings have real-world implications for contractors, project managers, and cost engineers seeking reliable, data-driven decision support systems. In summary, this study present a scalable and robust ML-based framework that facilitate process innovation in construction cost estimation, paving the way for more intelligent, efficient, and risk-aware construction project management.

Abstract

The blast in India's retail area has fascinated numerous players-both at the public and global level-to receive the rewards of development in the retail business. The upsurge in the retail business has seriously changed the whole idea of shopping as far as the most recent organizations that are embraced and furthermore by virtue of customer purchasing conduct. There were days when buyers had a more independent attitude. Global brands where unfathomable and there was no openness of the assortments presented by the worldwide players. Shopping was more viewed as an action or an awkward undertaking where it was simply done to satisfy ones needs. Be that as it may, presently the circumstance appears to have taken a fast turn where in the wake of opening of the economy and passage of MNCs, shopping is appeared to be more as a joy and involvement in a wide assortment of items to browse the accessible. The blast of present-day retail design is clear from the rambling retail outlets, multistory shopping centers with amusement and food all under a solitary rooftop, stores, and hypermarkets, every one of them making shopping a pleasurable encounter. The monetary push of the 90's as confirmed in vigorous GDP development, more grounded money stores and dynamic market and working climate are impelling India on a direction of outstanding development in the area of retail exchange. The post advancement has seen retail arise as a dawn area. The financial advancement and expanded buyers mindfulness have given a driving force to retail change
