Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with immense biodiversity, including various plants that can be utilized as botanical pesticides. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of several concentrations of fresh cajuput leaf extract and cajuput leaf waste extract in suppressing the Rhizoctonia solani pathogen in corn plants. The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 8 treatments and 3 replications. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and further tested using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the waste extract at a concentration of 2.0 mL exhibited the highest effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of fungal colony diameter, yielding a diameter of 1.06 cm and an 82.6% inhibition rate, as well as the fastest sclerotia emergence time of 18 hours.
