Abstract

BPCA (Guidebook for Preventing Anemia) in an effort to prevent anemia is one of the innovative health education activities which aims to add knowledge and create a positive attitude towards preventing anemia. The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of BPCA in increasing knowledge and attitudes towards anemia in adolescents in the North Singkawang I Community Health Center area. Method research is a quantitative research design quasi-experimental pre & post test with control group. The sample in this study consisted of 40 respondents. Sampling in used purposive sampling. The data taken is in the form of Identity and Knowledge and Attitude data in efforts to prevent Anemia using Questionnaire Instruments. This increase in Knowledge and attitudes is due to the fact that during the research, teenagers received information on an incentive basis assisted by media in the form of a Guidebook to Prevent Anemia to make it easier for teenagers to understand and absorb information. Anemia is a condition that causes stunting in teenagers. In its implementation, the learning process does not just provide one-way information, but involves teenagers as an audience to interact with questions and answers and discuss. The role of Health Workers is needed as a Companion in the Knowledge Transfer Process.
